Roseneath Cottage is our newly restored serviced cottage in Orange. In 2015 we reluctantly bid farewell to our former cottages, Cornish and Roseneath 1, to allow us to restore a beautiful old Cottage in the heritage heart of Orange that was in need of some love and care.
We decided to continue with tradition and called our new Cottage 'Roseneath'. The new Roseneath has allowed us to realise our goal of helping to preserve some of Orange's important history, while continuing to provide a high quality 'home away from home' experience for all our loyal guests and for a new clientele. We are really pleased with the result, and hope that you will be too!.
Orange is located on the traditional lands of the Wiradjuri people who have continuously cared for this land for thousands of years. The first Europeans established homesteads in 1822. Orange is today a favourite get away for visitors from across Australia and the world.
Renowned for its stunning seasonal colours in autumn, spring and summer and occasional winter snows, Orange is Australia's premium cool climate wine and fruit growing district. With an extensive network of bike paths, Orange is a perfect town to explore on foot or by bike.
Home to the original Food and Wine Festival, it is the perfect place to indulge your culinary senses with a wide variety of restaurants, cafes and wineries.
Featuring gorgeous parks, nature reserves, wetlands and recreation facilities, it is also within an easy drive of Australia's premier Japanese Gardens in Cowra (site of the Cowra Outbreak in WWII), Mayfield Gardens in Oberon (the largest private garden in Australia), Wellington Caves (on the road to Dubbo), the Age of Fishes Museum in Canowindra (recently visited by Sir David Attenborough who called the rare, prehistoric collection of fish fossils "world class"), Millthorpe and Carcoar Villages (two of NSW's best preserved historic villages) and the Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo (where animals are able to roam).
Whether you are staying in Orange to delight in its food, wine, parks, culture or arts - or use Orange as a base to experience the enormous riches of its surrounding towns - Roseneath Cottage provide a welcome place to rest, relax and enjoy.
